Half face, half totem, this figure commands the canvas with the authority of a striking vision and the chaos of a fever dream. The face is divided in two by a sharp central arrow-like nose: warm reds and purples on one side, electric green and vibrant blues on the other, as if two identities are locked in permanent confrontation.
Two pink spirals seem to almost move where the cheeks should be. Bright red lips stand in the middle of the face, circled by gold. Golden glyphs crown the top of the composition like a forgotten alphabet, speaking a language older than words.
This painting is equally festive as it can be striking. It is the portrait of some kind of carnival god or goddess ready for some war or a joyous parade.
