The photographic series “Nature at Home,” begun in the fall of 2025, consists of double-exposure photographs taken in-camera in an old-fashioned black and white style. With a touch of grain and simple digital processing, I aim to express a certain poetic nostalgia for nature when I spend several days at home, surrounded by my houseplants yet immersed in domestic life. I carry one of the pots around the house to capture a snapshot of its double image and its reflections in a frosted glass door, a stainless steel refrigerator, or a plastic shower curtain… This double portrait of a Cordyline fruticosa L. (Good Luck Plant) is also an expression of myself, my home, and that need to live surrounded by plants, to feel them in my daily life. It is also a reflection of the diverse sensations, feelings, and desires that arise from uniting artistic and domestic life. Create, care for and grow a very personal small home botanical garden.
