Descrizione: Set against the deep blue waters of the Øresund Strait, the painting represents the Øresund Bridge as it stretches across the sea before seemingly descending beneath the surface on its way towards Copenhagen. On either side, two enigmatic structures frame the composition: a solid base and an inverted volcano. Both are densely inhabited by a multitude of characters—some winged and ethereal, others monstrous and unsettling, and many engaged in struggle. Together, these figures create a dynamic and chaotic universe suspended between land, sea and sky, where movement, conflict and transformation unfold against the vast stillness of the deep-blue background.
