Hair becomes the symbolic veil of the High Priestess. I see hair as an antenna—receiving intuition, holding memory and carrying the invisible threads that connect us to something greater than ourselves.
The mane is obscuring what cannot yet be understood while gently leading us towards inner knowing, its long form represents wisdom that has been gathered over lifetimes, woven through experience, mythology and the unseen rhythms of life. Her head forms the full moon, flanked by waxing and waning crescents, symbolising the cycles of life, intuition, and transformation.
Pomegranates conceal the Torah resting in her lap, suggesting that sacred wisdom is revealed not through certainty but through patience, experience, and inner knowing.
She faces away from the viewer, inviting us to turn inward, for the high priestess does not seek attention, she offers reflection, reminding us that true knowing is timeless, arising from the integration of innocence, compassion, and experience.
