Descrizione: “The Observer” explores identity as a fragmented structure composed of competing emotional and rational states. Interconnected figures occupy a seemingly infinite yet internally contained mental space, where geometry attempts to impose a coherence on an unstable inner world.
The main figure is distinguished by an additional pair of eyes representing an enhanced capacity for perception, which doesn’t necessarily lead to clarity. The fragmented phrase in Slovak (“rozum po rozume”, “po rozume nie”, “porozUMENIE”) is a continuous shift between the reason, misundesrstanding and understanding. It reflects the conflict between the desire of mind to make sense of experience and the impossibility of fully doing so.
