Descrizione:  “They Grow Fast” is the first painting in the series “Ghost in the Towers,” which vividly depicts the contrast between nature and the city. Branches emerging from the upper part of the canvas gradually invade the city’s depiction, evoking a post-apocalyptic scene. Meanwhile, the strong silhouettes of the buildings convey a sense of domination over the thin, almost transparent plants, raising the question of who invades whom. The city, trapped within a clearly defined rectangle, gives the impression of observing a worksite through a window cut into a concrete wall. Around it, the textures evoke an industrial aesthetic, reminiscent of rust on metal. While nature and the city seem to be in confrontation, the painting also invites the audience to feel contradictory emotions through its brutality and peacefulness.
