Aiswarya R Raj is a photographer and visual researcher based in India. Trained in Photography Design at the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, with a background in architecture, her practice explores the relationships between memory, place, materiality, and landscape. Working across analogue and alternative photographic processes, she combines photography with site-responsive materials, archival methods, and experimental image-making. Her work often examines how environments, cultural traces, and everyday human activity shape personal and collective narratives. Through research-driven projects, she investigates themes of identity, belonging, ecological change, and the material histories embedded within places.
