Biografia

Hanna Hrydasova is a Ukrainian collage artist based in Berlin, Germany. Before pursuing studies in psychology, she spent several years studying architecture, an experience that continues to influence her sense of composition, spatial relationships, and visual structure. For the past six years, she has worked primarily with analog collage, developing a distinctive visual language shaped by psychological symbolism, surreal imagery, and personal experience.

With a background in both architecture and psychology, Hrydasova approaches collage as both an artistic practice and a method of accessing the subconscious. Her creative process is deeply intuitive, allowing emotions, memories, fears, desires, and inner conflicts to emerge through unexpected visual connections. Rather than illustrating specific stories, she transforms fragments of existing images into symbolic narratives that exist between dream, memory, and reality.

Her collages explore themes of identity, vulnerability, social structures, emotional transformation, and the hidden dimensions of human experience. Through juxtaposition and visual metaphor, she creates multilayered compositions that invite viewers to engage with their own associations and interpretations.

Hrydasova has participated in numerous exhibitions in Kyiv, Ukraine. One of her works won a collage competition and was exhibited alongside works by established artists in one of the city’s major galleries. Her work is recognized for its strong visual presence, psychological depth, and highly personal artistic voice.

Through collage, Hrydasova creates symbolic worlds where the personal and the universal meet, offering a space for reflection, ambiguity, and emotional discovery.
