Late Bloomers is a collaborative artist duo made up of two partners who discovered their creative paths later in life. The name reflects this shared experience, as well as a belief that it is never too late to start making art and exploring new passions.

The duo combines two practices: Mrs. Late Bloomer works with flowers, creating arrangements and installations, often using “rescued vases” found at flea markets, while Mr. Late Bloomer is passionate about photography. Together, they create work where these two interests meet. The flowers are arranged into sculptural compositions, which are then photographed, turning them into visual works that preserve and extend the life of the original moment.

The flea market objects play an important role in the process. They are collected both from a weekly market in their hometown and while travelling. Each vase carries a sense of place and time, and together they form a quiet archive of different stories and environments.

Flowers remain central to their work. They are not used only for decoration, but to explore change, fragility, growth, and renewal. Through photography, these natural forms are transformed into lasting images, giving them a sense of permanence.

Their process is collaborative and intertwined: one works with natural materials and reclaimed objects, the other responds through the camera. Between them, the work moves from presence to memory, from what exists in the moment to what is left behind.

As Late Bloomers, they are especially interested in ideas of starting again, slowing down, and noticing quiet beauty in everyday materials and natural forms.
