María Plata is a first-generation Mexican- American storyteller and mixed media artist from Immokalee, Florida. Maria’s art is a reflection of her community…the voices, struggles, and celebrations of the people shape every story she tells. She creates because these narratives deserve to be seen, heard, and felt. She brings a BIPOC lens, a deep respect for lived experience, and a commitment to authenticity in every project she creates.
