While cycling quickly past a long wall covered in vibrant graffiti, I began taking photographs without stopping. The speed of movement transformed the static murals into flowing streaks of color, blurring shapes and lines into unexpected, abstract forms. Each image became its own unique composition, no longer a literal record of the graffiti itself, but an impression of its energy, rhythm, and palette. -
Kore Heerema Tecnica: Photography Anno: 2024 Dimensione: 30 x 45 cm Descrizione: Move Beyond The Lines is a series of works born from my experiments with the interplay between camera movement and shifting sources of light. By deliberately moving the camera while photographing, I transformed points of light into flowing, colorful linework, each frame becoming a vivid abstraction of motion and color. These luminous trails are not simply lines on a dark canvas, but starting points for something more. By “moving beyond the lines,” each artwork evolves into its own abstract world, where form, rhythm, and hue create a space for the viewer’s imagination to wander. -

During that season, I found myself drawn outdoors, camera in hand, captivated by the shifting atmosphere as summer gave way to cooler days. The changing light, the crisp air, and the transformation of the landscape provided endless inspiration. Leaves blazed in reds, purples, golds, and oranges, while the wind set them into graceful, fleeting motion. Across the quiet places in Amsterdam's nature I wandered, From these walk grew a series of pictures that speak not in words but in the language of color: bold, layered, and ever changing. In their luminous colors, Together the works invite you to linger, and to breathe with the shifting forms.
