Descrizione: This illustration, created on paper colored pencils and acrylic markers, is the first in a series inspired by a question that has followed me for years (and still echoes in me at times): “If only I was…”.
A question that resurfaces through the highs and lows of my artistic life, whenever I imagine alternative paths that, in today’s society, might have offered me a bit more certainty… but only at the cost of suffocating that unstoppable urge to create.
Yet in every possible answer (every artwork of the collection), the outcome is always the same: a guaranteed disaster — just like the piece you see here.
A small, ironic consolation I tell myself to remember that no other path, truly, could have been the right one except this one.

It comes from a question that often echoes in me: what's more painful? Spending energies trying to hold on, tame, suppress? To suffocate, hold back, inhibit? Or perhaps to let go and allow everything to flow away?
