​Andrea Mikušová is a Slovak visual artist currently studying Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Banská Bystrica. Her practice revolves around tactile surfaces, texture, and the materiality of the human body, critically responding to contemporary ideals of physical perfection. Through textured, multi-layered paintings combining paper-maché and delicate color glazes, she creates hyper-enlarged relief representations of "imperfect" skin, acne, and scars. As her painterly language continues to evolve, her work balances physical experimentation, body image discourse, and an open, process-based approach to media.
