Deborah Themans is a Belgian writer and emerging multidisciplinary artist whose work explores perception, attention, and the experience of reality.

Her practice begins with ordinary, lived moments: light moving across water, a landscape suddenly perceived differently, or a familiar object acquiring an unexpected significance. Through storytelling, voice and image, she explores the subtle shifts in perception through which everyday experience can reveal a sense of mystery.

Rather than attempting to explain these experiences or assign them a fixed meaning, her work invites the audience to inhabit them and pay attention to their own ways of seeing.

*The Blue Glasses* extends her writing and spoken-word practice into audiovisual installation, combining personal narrative, moving images and a participatory object.
