Ci sono immagini che non si limitano a occupare uno spazio: lo trasformano. Lo fanno vibrare, moltiplicare, perdere i propri confini.
Questa open call nasce come omaggio all’universo visionario di Yayoi Kusama e alla sua capacità di trasformare ripetizione, colore, ossessione e infinito in un linguaggio capace di attraversare il corpo e la percezione.
Invitiamo gli artisti a partire da qui, non per imitare, ma per lasciarsi attraversare. Dal punto come origine e vertigine. Dalla ripetizione come gesto, ritmo, memoria. Dall’idea che una forma possa proliferare fino a cancellare la distanza tra individuo e spazio.
TRIBUTE TO KUSAMA vuole essere un territorio di interpretazioni personali: opere che parlino di infinito, presenza e dissoluzione, accumulo, desiderio, identità, fragilità, pattern, colore, corpo e trasformazione.
Un omaggio può essere una dichiarazione d’amore, ma anche una deviazione. Può nascere da un’affinità, da una domanda, da una tensione. Cerchiamo opere capaci di entrare in dialogo con questo immaginario e di portarlo altrove, verso una visione nuova e profondamente propria.
Perché a volte basta un punto per aprire uno spazio infinito.
There are images that do more than simply occupy a space: they transform it. They make it vibrate, multiply, lose its boundaries.
This open call is conceived as a tribute to the visionary universe of Yayoi Kusama and to her ability to transform repetition, colour, obsession and infinity into a language capable of moving through the body and perception.
We invite artists to begin from this point, not to imitate, but to allow themselves to be carried through it. By the dot as both origin and vertigo. By repetition as gesture, rhythm, memory. By the idea that a form can proliferate until it erases the distance between the individual and space.
TRIBUTE TO KUSAMA aims to be a space for personal interpretations: works that speak of infinity, presence and dissolution, accumulation, desire, identity, fragility, patterns, colour, the body and transformation.
A tribute can be a declaration of love, but it can also be a deviation. It can emerge from an affinity, a question, a tension. We are looking for works capable of entering into dialogue with this imagery and taking it somewhere else, towards a new and deeply personal vision.
Because sometimes all it takes is a dot to open up an infinite space.
Chi può partecipare?
La Call è aperta a tutti gli artisti di ogni disciplina che rispettino il tema.
Ogni artista potrà partecipare con un massimo di tre opere, le cui dimensioni dovranno rispettare le misure indicate. Le opere che eccedono queste misure non saranno prese in considerazione.
Come partecipare
Invia la tua candidatura compilando il form che segue entro il 27 settembre 2026.
Non dimenticare di includere:
- Una breve biografia (max 300 parole)
- Le immagini delle opere proposte (in bassa risoluzione; le immagini in alta risoluzione saranno richieste solo in caso di selezione)
- La descrizione di ciascuna opera
La fee di partecipazione è di 59 euro per 2 opere oppure 79 euro per 3 opere.
La quota sarà da versare solo in caso di selezione.
Submission format
Attenzione: nel form dovrai specificare con quale modalità desideri partecipare tra le seguenti:

Opere originali – Partecipazione con opere originali. L’artista spedisce le opere autonomamente o tramite il nostro servizio convenzionato con Mail Boxes Etc.

Repliche stampate formato 30×40 circa – L’artista ci invia il file digitale e noi ci occupiamo della stampa. In questo caso è previsto un plus di 19 euro per opera.

Repliche stampate formato 40×60 circa – L’artista ci invia il file digitale e noi ci occupiamo della stampa. In questo caso è previsto un plus di 29 euro per opera.
Esposizione
Le opere selezionate saranno esposte dal 18 al 23 ottobre 2026 presso Con/Temporary Spaces a Torino, nel cuore della città

Who can participate?
The Call is open to all artists working in any discipline, as long as their work relates to the theme.
Each artist may submit up to three artworks, which must respect the size requirements indicated. Works exceeding these dimensions will not be considered.
