Descrizione: In her work Symmetry Angela Fechter has created a visual and sensory form to the connection between city and body. She explores the influence that architecture can have on the movement of a body in space and on physical well-being within an urban context. The work Symmetry depicts a female face with closed eyes, overlaid with an image of an old industrial-age bridge. The expression on the face is calm: the person appears to be remembering something or lost in a dream. This is where the poetic and mysterious character of the work comes through.
