Just like the colour that defines a face but slips and turns it into a movement that cannot be stopped. The artist brings to reflection through a single face, the dynamism of the passing of seconds of minutes of years. Time eludes. The transformation depicted in the painting is a path that leads us to reflect and evaluate in an instant what we saw just now and can now only imagine what it was and how it was. -
Technique: Watercolour Year: 2025 Size unframed: 46 x 34 cm Description: This is not the first time that Shirin has devoted herself to the nude, but in this work, with skilful brushstrokes, sometimes marked and on the hips blurred, she seems not only to want to reproduce a harmonious or sensual body, although this is how it may appear to the eyes of the observer, but a state of mind. The concealed face, the only partially reproduced limbs, give a sense of incompleteness. That which today's woman experiences in her intimate daily life, harassed and constantly immersed in a frantic chase, in search of personal affirmation or just survival. Well then, Shirin portrays her for what she really wants to be, naked, abandoned but at the same time radiated by the warmth that lingers in her very nature. -
