L’opera rappresenta una pianta carnivora fantastica, non realistica, sospesa tra gioco, disegno e scultura. Il titolo introduce una riflessione ironica sul nutrimento e sull’adattamento: queste creature vegetali che mangiano insetti ci assomigliano più di quanto pensiamo, soprattutto in un futuro in cui anche l’alimentazione umana potrebbe aprirsi a nuove forme di consumo e sopravvivenza. -
Camilla Catrambone Tecnica: papercut Anno: 2026 Dimensione senza cornice: 30 x 70 cm Descrizione: L'opera prende avvio dal principio di sovrapproduzione che caratterizza il mondo vegetale: una strategia di abbondanza attraverso cui fiori, semi e pollini vengono generati in quantità eccedente rispetto alla loro effettiva possibilità di sopravvivenza. Questo meccanismo viene trasposto in una dimensione domestica e affettiva, assumendo come materia prima un'altra forma di produzione eccedente: i disegni dei miei figli. Realizzati nel tempo su fogli già destinati allo scarto — fotocopie inutilizzate, documenti obsoleti, carte recuperate — questi elaborati si accumulano, si conservano e si stratificano come tracce di crescita. Da un vaso formato dall'aggregazione dei disegni emerge una fioritura di fiori in carta, realizzati a partire dagli stessi fogli. L'opera mette in relazione processi biologici e umani, interrogando il valore dell'eccesso non come scarto ma come risorsa generativa. La materia attraversa così successive trasformazioni: da documento dismesso a supporto per il gesto infantile, da archivio domestico a forma organica. La fioritura diventa immagine di una rigenerazione continua, in cui ciò che eccede la propria funzione originaria trova nuove possibilità di esistenza, restituendo forma visibile al tempo, alla cura e alla crescita. -

In my family we are four children, that's why there are 4 little offshoots. In the leafs of the mother plant there are hearts showing which also stands for the love of the mother for her children. Sometimes the love is more visible and sometimes not, some of the hearts have been painted over to emphasize it. -

In a world filled with promises of being healthier, safer, more ethical, or more sustainable, we often rely on these signals to help us decide what to trust and value. The work explores how our understanding of something is increasingly influenced by the information attached to it even if some things are obvious. Labels can provide reassurance and help us navigate a complex world, but they can also shape our opinions before we have had the chance to form our own experience. At its core, the work invites reflection on trust and authenticity. How do we decide what is good, valuable, or worth our attention? How much of that judgment comes from our own experience, and how much comes from the messages surrounding us? “Labels” encourages viewers to consider the role that labels and certifications play in everyday life. It suggests that while they can help us make informed choices, they can also become filters through which we experience the world, shaping our expectations long before we encounter something ourselves. -

The work explores the idea that our inner landscapes—thoughts, beliefs, fears, hopes, memories, and dreams—are never truly contained. They grow, intertwine, and eventually find expression beyond ourselves. Flowers become a metaphor for what we cultivate internally. Some emerge vibrant and expansive, others fragile, fading, or wild and uncontrolled, yet all are part of the same living ecosystem. What takes root within us influences how we see, feel, and move through the world. The work invites reflection on self-awareness and personal responsibility for the stories we nurture. It encourages viewers to consider the narratives, assumptions, and emotional patterns they cultivate over time, and how these unseen forces influence their actions, relationships, and sense of identity. “All in Your Head” embraces complexity and ambiguity. It suggests that our inner worlds are in constant transformation, shaped by experience, attention, and choice. What remains unseen is often as powerful as what is visible, quietly influencing the course of our lives in ways both subtle and profound. -
Late Bloomers Tecnica: Photograph of flower arrangement and rescued vase Dimensione: 40cm x 60cm Anno: 2026 Descrizione: “Nothing to Hide” is a composition built around a “flower frog”, a reusable metal structure used to support and shape floral arrangements. The piece references earlier, more sustainable methods of flower arranging, when flower frogs were commonly used before the widespread introduction of synthetic floral foam in the 1950s. Today, floral foam is widely used for its convenience, but it is also increasingly criticized for its environmental impact. Against the growing critique of single-use floral foam and the emerging “No Floral Foam” movement, this work points back to reusable ways of building floral compositions. The arrangement inverts typical floral design practices in which support structures are usually hidden from view. Here, the mechanic – the flower frog – is deliberately exposed and becomes the central element of the composition, with nothing to hide. Dried flowers emerge from a mid-century “rescued vase” discovered at a flea market in London, supported by the exposed flower frog, highlighting impermanence, change, and layers of history. -

Through photographic portraits of textile amaryllis sculptures, I reflect on the many states that live within us: potential and emergence, strength and vulnerability, individuality and connection. Some forms remain partially hidden, as if they are still gathering the inner courage to emerge. Others unfold fully, revealing their character and presence. Some stand on their own, while others find balance through dialogue and coexistence. Here, the flower becomes a metaphor for human nature. Each stem, gesture, and relationship reflects the continuous inner movement between the visible and the unseen, between what has already emerged and what is still taking shape within. For me, growth is not a final destination, but a living process of unfolding, acceptance, and gathering the self into a whole. Forms of Becoming VI" portrays a dance between two distinct presences. One is upright, steady, and composed; the other is lighter, more fluid, and free.
