Books can be empowering and render women dangerous. Women have always had constant demands on their time. The ability to say ‘Not now, I am reading’ does not come readily. Reading can be dismissed as unimportant and frivolous; an easily interruptible pursuit. The women featured in this series are self-confident, powerful women who are readers, who will not hesitate to still the cacophony around them to glide into another world The strong colours that are used represent their personalities, and the moods they are in – brooding, inspired, annoyed or just savouring their fired imaginations. -

The whisper of fermentation in the rainy season. And the wind of the Adriatic Sea, The skirt is being translated into The rhyme of strange letters– Every fold is arguing, Every border is defecting. We exhibit those Unopened moonlight: The left ear is crystallized into salt by the mother's advice. The right ear is being hit by the love words in Italian. Burn out the burn marks. Hanging all in the canvas The kiss that failed to land– Like the stained glass window of the church suddenly shattered, Saints and heresis Dance in the same light. -

Wafaa Alhusain Tecnica: created using a unique fusion of MRI and artificial intelligence. The process begins with an MRI scan of a butter melon, chosen for its intricate internal structure. This scan provides the organic, swirling, tunnel-like form at the center of each composition. The MRI image is digitally processed and enhanced, then integrated into a larger narrative scene. Anno: 2024 Dimensione: 30X40 cm Descrizione: This digital composition is set against a cosmic landscape streaked with nebula-like clouds, and features a lone silhouette gazing towards a glowing, tunnel-shaped portal. The portal's swirling, misty interior and bright, jagged edge are inspired by the MRI scan of a butter melon, reimagined here as a gateway to another dimension. Within the portal, a solitary figure walks forward, bathed in soft, otherworldly light. The interplay of darkness and illumination evokes themes of introspection, transition, and the search for meaning beyond the visible world. Printed on Hahnemühle Photo Rag Metallic fine art paper, framed in a black wood frame with archival matting. -

Tecnica: Efecto Gaudí sobre madera (sul legno) Anno: 2025 Dimensione: 50×50 Descrizione: “Istinto Felino” fa parte della mia serie ANIMALI, in cui lavoro su ritratti di animali con molto colore. La tecnica pittorica è l'“Effetto Gaudì” e la pittura botanica. Ho iniziato a dipingere questi animali colorati due anni fa, il primo è stato la giraffa. Questa serie continuerà ad espandersi perché mi permette di esprimermi nella mia totalità. Perché i miei animali con così tanti colori? Come ogni cosa nell'arte, quando nasce non si sa “da dove viene”, ma ora che sono alla terza opera di questa collezione, ho iniziato a sentirla legata agli alebrijes, creature mistiche e spirituali che rappresentanno l'anima; si crede che ogni essere umano sia accompagnato da un animale che lo guiderà e proteggerà per tutta la vita. È un onore esporre per la prima volta a Barcellona e mostrare la mia tecnica particolare. -

Lavoro da zero con un'argilla che produco io stesso e che si asciuga all'aria (Ceramic°art). Una volta che la base, un modello in rilievo, è asciutta, scolpisco l'opera. La tecnica pittorica è la vernice acrilica e l'“effetto Gaudì” per simulare un falso mosaico. È un onore esporre per la prima volta a Barcellona e mostrare il mio omaggio a Gaudì. -

Fabriqose Tecnica: Matite colorate su carta Anno: 2024 Dimensione: 30 × 20 cm Descrizione: Una piccola casa resiste al tempo sulla riva siciliana, scrostata dal sole e dal sale, come una memoria che non vuole sbiadire. Davanti a lei, il mare immobile riflette il silenzio delle ore calde. Una palma di fico d’India veglia discreta, tra spine e frutti, simbolo di una terra ruvida e generosa. Un paesaggio intimo che racconta la bellezza imperfetta delle cose che restano. -
Fabriqose Tecnica: China Anno: 2024 Dimensione: 21 × 12 cm Descrizione: Un volto segnato dal tempo, una lacrima che scivola sulla guancia e si dissolve in frammenti di memoria: scorci di mare, pietre antiche, voci lontane. È la nostalgia siciliana — densa, profumata di zagara e vento salmastro — per ciò che è stato, per ciò che non è mai accaduto, per chi ci ha sfiorati solo un attimo e per chi ci ha camminato accanto per una vita. China su carta, puntinismo. -
Alice Sciarrone Tecnica: Pittura ad olio Anno: 2025 Dimensione: 40 x 60 cm Descrizione: Quest’opera rappresenta una scena di pesca lungo la costa di Torre Faro. I due pescatori sono raffigurati in un momento comune della vita di tutti i giorni. Qua il legame con il mare è molto importante, esso rappresenta il Padre che nutre e ama, di conseguenza bisogna rispettarlo ed onorarlo.
