  • Ananas

Wafaa Alhusain  Tecnica: Digital Art (MRI Scan) Materials: MRI Scanner, pineapple, digital post-processing Anno: 2025 Dimensione opera: 20cm x 30cm Descrizione: This work follows a pineapple through a sequence of MRI slices, moving from the barely-there shadow of its crown down through the dense, fibrous architecture of its flesh. Where the eye sees a single solid fruit, the scan reveals something closer to a living structure — radiating fibers, internal chambers, a hidden anatomy that has nothing to do with how the pineapple is normally seen: cut, served, eaten. The sequence itself becomes the subject. Each slice shows the pineapple emerging a little more fully — first a faint outline barely visible in the dark, then the crown taking shape, then the full body of the fruit revealed in its internal detail. It mirrors how identity itself is rarely revealed all at once; it comes forward in stages, layer by layer, and what's underneath is often more intricate than the surface ever suggests. As with the rest of this series, the piece uses medical imaging — a tool built to look inside the human body — to look inside something as familiar as fruit, asking the viewer to slow down and really see an object usually consumed without a second thought. It continues the same throughline: that science can be a way of finding beauty, and that transformation and hidden identity exist everywhere, even inside the things we think we already know.
  • Egglipse

    534,00
Wafaa Alhusain  Tecnica: Digital Art (MRI Scan) Materials: MRI Scanner, egg, digital post-processing.An egg was scanned using a 3 Tesla MRI scanner, capturing successive cross-sectional slices of its internal structure — no AI or digital alteration, purely the raw imaging data arranged into a sequential composition Anno: 2025 Dimensione opera: 20cm x 30cm Descrizione: Egglipse is about transformation and hidden identity. Just as the moon passes through phases — full, waning, hidden, returning — the egg is captured mid-transformation across a sequence of MRI slices, its yolk shifting and receding like a body moving through an eclipse. The work scans both a raw and a boiled egg — two eggs that look identical from the outside, yet reveal subtly different internal structures once imaged. This is the heart of the piece: two things can appear the same on the surface while holding entirely different stories inside — different histories, different emotional states, different struggles, shaped by what they've been through even when it isn't visible. The work sits at the intersection of science and beauty: using an imaging technology built for medicine, not art, to uncover what's hidden inside something as ordinary as an egg. It's a reminder that beauty and meaning don't require exotic subjects — they're already inside the things we overlook every day, waiting for a different way of seeing to bring them out. Egglipse asks the viewer to look at food, at the body, at each other — not as fixed and known, but as something whose interior story is never fully visible from the outside.
  • Hannaneh Barikani  Tecnica: Persian miniature painting using Gouache, watercolor, and 23-karat gold on handmade paper. Anno: 2025 Dimensione: 26.2cmx20.2cm Descrizione: A reinterpretation of The Universe through the visual language of Persian miniature painting. Remaining faithful to the card’s traditional symbolism, the work reinterprets many of its familiar motifs, reflecting their shared presence in the Sphinx, the vision of the Prophet Ezekiel, and later Iranian-Islamic traditions. Its corresponding symbolic attribute accompanies each of the four living creatures. At the center, the dancing figure is enclosed within an oval form and may also be read as an allusion to Shiva’s cosmic dance, through which creation is continuously sustained. The flowing scarf, gradually shifting from red below to blue above, symbolizes the movement of yin and yang through the body’s energetic channels. The outer frame, inspired by Persian miniature painting, emphasizes the beauty and sacredness of crossing the threshold into the world.
  • Hannaneh Barikani  Tecnica: Persian miniature painting using Gouache, watercolor, and 23-karat gold on handmade paper. Anno: 2025 Dimensione: 26.2cmx20.2cm Descrizione: A reinterpretation of The Tower through the visual language of Persian miniature painting. Remaining faithful to the card’s traditional symbolism, the work draws on a recurring motif found in Mesopotamian mythology and Iranian epic literature, most notably the Shahnameh: the downfall of the king and queen—symbols of the animus and anima—whose pride drives them to seek realms for which they are not yet spiritually prepared. The zigzagging flames descending from the sun and the shattered crown of the tower symbolize the descent of divine energy, revealing the limits of the unprepared seeker. This theme is echoed in the outer frame through the imagery of serpents and ladders, drawn from the Indian and Iranian game of Snakes and Ladders. The seeker ascends the ladder, but whenever the necessary inner transformation has not yet taken place, the serpent casts them back down. Yet this collapse is not an end but a necessary stage of transformation, where destruction becomes the beginning of renewal.

Ermina Resić Tecnica: Combined intaglio printmaking on zinc plates using etching, aquatint, drypoint, and mixed intaglio processes. Printed by hand from original zinc matrices. Anno: 2015 Dimensione: 33 cm x 49 cm Descrizione: Work 2– Suit of Wands This series of prints explores the archetypal symbolism of the Tarot through the motif of landscape. Forests, trees, and pathways become metaphors for inner psychological states, memory, and the process of individuation. Rather than illustrating Tarot cards directly, the work transforms their symbolic essence into atmospheric visual spaces, inviting the viewer to engage in a personal and intuitive interpretation.
  • Hannaneh Barikani  Tecnica: Persian miniature painting using Gouache, watercolor, and 23-karat gold on handmade paper. Anno: 2026 Dimensione: 26.2cmx20.2cm Descrizione: A reinterpretation of The Hanged Man through the visual language of Persian miniature painting. Like the pause between inhalation and exhalation, or the silence between musical notes, the work portrays a moment of communion between the Higher Soul and the incarnated soul. A serpent replaces the rope, symbolizing both humanity’s descent into the material world and its spiritual ascent. At the same time, the blue arch—a traditional motif in Persian miniature painting—represents the celestial realm. The peacocks symbolize the Higher Soul; the hands below reach upward in longing for union, while the hands above descend in response, extending a helping hand.
